Guardian Energy has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Analyst to join the team! This role will be located at our Hankison, North Dakota location and will provide support all Guardian Energy locations.
As an IT Systems Analyst, you will need a strong understanding of Guardian’s technical landscape and processes. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners on technical needs and driving system improvements forward. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships and communicating technical information to both internal and external teams. Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills, along with a curiosity for current and future technology, are essential for success in this role. Your day-to-day work will include a mix of independent tasks, team collaboration, and assisting with service tickets.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Provide on-site technical support
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, through email, phone and teams.
- Resolve help desk issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Perform user administration tasks.
- Serve as a resource for external IT Managed Services partner on Guardian-specific needs.
- Procure IT equipment, maintain inventory, and safeguard equipment.
- Support company line of business applications, including advanced-level software and hardware troubleshooting, installation, and configuration.
- Analyze and diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions.
- Conduct on-site inspections of network hardware to ensure proper functionality and identify potential issues
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external groups, including executive-level team members, end users, and vendors.
- Collaborate with multiple teams (internal and external) such as developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to resolve complex issues.
- Independently drive communication with remote teams Managed IT Service teams and other IT professionals to ensure success at Guardian.
- Stay current with technologies and technical developments.
- Travel to all plant locations as needed (10-15% travel) to support plant projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education/Certification:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- 3 years of hands-on experience working in manufacturing environment, network or end-user desktop support role
- Operations environment required
- Experience in manufacturing environment control systems preferred
