Job Description

The Special Transport Driver will be responsible for transporting individuals with special needs to and from various locations. This may include individuals with physical or mental disabilities, elderly individuals, or individuals with medical conditions that require special transportation accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a specialized vehicle designed for transporting individuals with special needs
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transportation
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Communicate effectively with passengers, their families, and other staff members
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  
  

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying hours and schedules
• Ability to lift and maneuver wheelchairs and other mobility devices
