Airborne Medical Services Pilot
Guardian Flight is seeking an experienced Airborne Medical Services Pilot to provide critical air transportation services to patients in need.
As a member of our medical transportation team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to medical facilities.
Shifts run 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, with opportunities to fly day or night trips. Our pilots work in a dynamic, professional environment committed to exceptional safety standards.
Requirements:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-ASEL) certification required, with willingness to obtain ATP within 5 years of employment.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 2,500 total flight hours.
- 2,000 Fixed wing hours.
- 1,000 PIC hours.
- 500 cross country hours.
- 100 night hours.
- 75 instrument (50 actual) hours.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with medical experts to develop and implement safe patient transportation plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for flights, including load manifests and shift reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in regular training and evaluation to maintain proficiency and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Environmental Factors:
- Exposure to variable weather conditions.
- Possible exposure to extreme temperatures, turbulence, and other environmental factors.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients, weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Capacity to withstand physical demands of flying, including prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Good visual acuity, including near and far vision, as well as depth perception and color vision.
