Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Flight Critical Care RN to join our team. As a Flight Nurse with Guardian Flight, you will be responsible for assessing each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders.
- Maintain regular equipment checks and comply with safety standards and briefings.
- Work collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners to provide safe and effective patient care.
Qualifications
To be successful as a Flight Nurse with Guardian Flight, you must have:
- Minimum three years' experience in an emergency or critical care setting.
- Current RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area.
- EMT Certification in state(s) where required.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications prior to flight status.
- Will be required to obtain trauma certification within six months of hire.
Physical Demands
The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance.
- Work a flexible work schedule, including 3 days on/6 days off rotation.
