What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flight Nurse position at Guardian Flight?
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Flight Nurses to provide direct patient care in critical care situations, utilizing their critical thinking skills and medical expertise to support patients in emergency and critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action for patient care
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients
- Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment
- Work collaboratively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an emergency or critical care setting
- Current RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT Certification in state(s) where required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification prior to flight status
- Possess gross and fine motor skills necessary for patient care activities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
