What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground Emergency Medical Care Professional position at Guardian Flight?
Essential Functions and Duties
- Evaluate and treat routine and urgent patients within the scope of practice and standing orders established by the sponsoring physician.
- Consult with the Medical Director as needed.
- Administer over-the-counter medications.
- Order and restock medical supplies.
- Perform medical health screenings.
- Administer flu shots and maintain proper documentation.
- Restock First Aid Bags, Stroke Baskets, and First-Aid Kits.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will assess each call situation to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocol. You will utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR, and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
