About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Product Development to oversee and implement product development strategies, policies, and objectives for our organization. This strategic leadership role will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive the development and enhancement of our products, ensuring that they meet both business and client needs. The Director will work directly with senior leadership to prioritize and manage a diverse set of initiatives, from strategic business goals to technical improvements and feature requests. This is a primarily remote position, with the requirement that the candidate resides in or near the Bozeman area to facilitate in-person collaboration and company events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Lead the development and implementation of product development policies and timelines, ensuring the on-time and within-budget delivery of new products, features, and enhancements. Collaborate with leadership teams to prioritize initiatives and identify business needs.

  • Product Management & Operational Support:

Develop and oversee the requirements gathering and specifications process for user stories, features, and bugs, working with product experts, support teams, and engineers. Assess the viability and feasibility of new features to ensure successful development and alignment with business goals. Work with the Support team to improve ticket workflows, quality control, and testing processes to ensure smooth operations.

  • Roadmap & Communication:

Create and maintain internal and external product roadmaps, regularly updating them to reflect evolving priorities. Ensure consistent communication with internal teams, clients, and partners to keep all stakeholders aligned on product direction.

  • Process Standardization & Feedback:

Develop and maintain the Product Specification Playbook, ensuring clarity and consistency in development processes. Collaborate with product teams to solicit and analyze user feedback, driving continuous improvements based on insights.

  • Team Development & Process Improvements:

Build and grow the development team in collaboration with the CEO, ensuring the right staffing and resources are in place. Drive process improvements by leveraging AI, software, and in-house tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity, ensuring the development process remains efficient and adaptable.

  • External Engagement & Representation:

Participate in industry events, attend trade conferences, and lead presentations or webinars to showcase new features and product directions to clients and prospects.


About You:

  • 6 years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and driving product initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members across various departments.
  • Strong intuition for product interaction design and user experience.
  • Ability to think strategically while balancing day-to-day operational needs.
  • Experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle, and familiarity with Agile software methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skills to streamline processes and introduce innovative solutions to improve product development workflows.
  • Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and speak at industry events and webinars as needed.
