Summary/Objective: The role is responsible for monitoring and reviewing compliance procedures.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Assist in preparing business licenses.
- Assist with verifying tax rates in GP.
- Assist with ensuring that exempt customers have a current exemption on file.
- Assist with identifying locations with incorrect tax schedules.
- Assist with sales tax preparation.
- Other special projects by the department supervisor and/or controller.
- The candidate should be a self-starter and have a knowledge of computer systems and excel.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Associates Degree preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Excel/MS Office.
Multitasking and prioritization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Intermediate or better data entry speed and computing skills
Intermediate or better computing skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary/sitting role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, M-F.
This position is primarily office-based; however there may be a possibility for a hybrid work arrangement for candidates based out of Jacksonville, FL depending on business needs and department approval.
Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
