Role Description The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for developing, proposing, and reviewing new Enterprise cloud-enabled or native solutions, ensuring alignment with Guardian's cloud principles.
The individual will work with various groups internal to IT, such as business systems analysts, systems engineers, and other architectural peers, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a holistic solution design. The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for creating, documenting, and communicating solution overviews and alternatives to technical and business leaders to foster an understanding of solution direction and to gain consensus support of the recommended solution approach. This is a hybrid role (onsite three days per week), and you must currently reside in Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Auburn Hills, MI; or Wichita, KS. What You Will Do
- Develop cloud-enabled or native solutions that adhere to Guardian and Koch's cloud principles
- Create and review technical specifications and validate design / development specifications with technical development / engineering teams.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with cloud strategies and identify opportunities, challenges, and migration road maps to support strategies.
- Learn and develop new skills and stay current on new and emerging cloud technologies, both native to provider platforms (AWS, Azure) as well as platform agnostic technologies
- Educate stakeholders, including technical teams, on security best practices to influence the development of known good solution patterns Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as cloud solutions architect or comparable role
- Experience in AWS services including, but not limited to, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, K8S, EKS, and CloudWatch.
- Strong understanding of cloud native architectural principles; including the networking, compute, storage, and security domains
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture patterns and best practices.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps principles and CI / CD practices from an architect's perspective.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database systems, and their design principles
- Experience in working in an Agile environment.
- Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in cloud native integration pattern design and development
- Experience with implementing Microservices and / or Event-driven architectures.
- Experience with tools such as ADO Pipelines, GitLab CI.
- Experience in Software design and development with proficiency in Python
