It Operations Network Engineer will be part of a global team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our manufacturing plants network systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with key technologies LAN, Wireless, AWS and Fortinet. This role requires a deep understanding of network operations, cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Guardian is seeking an experienced Network Engineer who, under minimal supervision, will work to develop standard network management work processes, troubleshoot network issues, and manage projects aimed at improving plant automation .
Our Team
The GRD IT Operations team provides reliable, flexible, and secure connectivity solutions that enable business solutions and perpetual transformation. We manage network and network security infrastructure, local area networks, wireless, firewalls and endpoint security. We are currently focused on the following transformation strategies : talent, proactive management, process optimization and automation, security by design, and adopting a product focused organization.
What You Will Do
- Maintain the network and security architecture of the organization
- Manage and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability, reliability and security.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Glass manufacturing plants LAN and wireless networks.
- Monitor network security products and protocols and report on findings.
- Analyze and implement new security protocols to improve performance against threats or malfunctions
- Proactively improve our network infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions.
- Implement and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and procedures
- Respond to network incidents promptly and effectively and collaborate with the required stakeholder teams to mitigate risks.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to network systems.
- Manage hardware and software lifecycles for network equipment Identifying EOL / EOS network devices and proposing appropriate replacement devices by preparing Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Expertise in handling network operational-related issues.
- Develop and Implement projects that support the overall IT / OT vision
- Partner with corporate network architects to implement standard, robust, and reliable systems.
- Partner with Cyber security architects to secure Industrial Control Systems.
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance network operations.
- Carry automation and Optimization mindset and Work towards long term solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Implement, manage, support and operate security platforms.
