Guardian Industries is seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Manager to join our team in DeWitt, Iowa!
In this role, you will lead a team that maintains plant machinery that includes glass melting furnace equipment, raw material batching equipment, utility water and compressed air systems, fans, robots, automated glass handling equipment, and plant support equipment.

What You Will Do
- Lead and strategically manage the Maintenance department and all maintenance-related activities that are aligned with the plant vision
- Provide coaching and feedback to help employees recognize their strengths and weaknesses within their role to help them succeed in the organization
- Develop solutions and make recommendations for maintenance and operations teams using analytical tools such as RCM, FMEA, and RCA
- Generate an environment that seeks to challenge the employee to acquire and learn new knowledge that will help them to continuously improve
- Implement reliability centered maintenance management practices to ensure equipment is always in a dependable state of readiness
- Utilize maintenance data systems that support work orders, preventative maintenance, and reliability improvements
- Organize, coordinate, and lead maintenance team to successfully meet plant objectives
- Manage the diagnosis of equipment problems, determine repair/replacement needs of machinery, tear down, repair/replace defective parts and reassemble equipment
- Lead cost control and continuous improvement in your department which includes critical & consumable spare inventory in Plant storeroom
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience leading and managing a Maintenance or Reliability department
- Experience in partnering with Production leadership to resolve issues and improve plant equipment reliability.
- Experience with identification and development of leading indicators for reliability of critical assets
- General knowledge of maintenance practices for hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial level electrical / PLC's, motor control centers, utility systems, transformers, switchgears, and/or process instrumentation
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience problem solving and troubleshooting hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, motor control centers, utility systems, transformers, or switchgears
- Experience with automation maintenance practices and maintenance equipment
- Experience with condition monitoring through use of technology & sensors to monitor health of assets in real time
- Experience working with robotic equipment
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering
- Experience working in a 24/7/365 operation
