What We Are Looking For : We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our organization and be a part of a team. The Assistant Counsel, Operations will be the first point of contact for our pharmacy teams in multiple locations across the country and will provide legal guidance and business advice across the broad range of topics facing the company, including the areas of healthcare compliance, contracts, employment, business insurance, risk management, real estate, and litigation.
To Be Successful : The Assistant Counsel, Operations will build relationships with our pharmacy management teams and become a "trusted advisor" on a diverse array of legal issues. This position requires the ability to collaborate and work effectively with others in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who is team-oriented and eager to make an impact on the day-to-day operations of a growing organization.
The Role :
The Assistant Counsel, Operations will interact with and provide legal counsel and practical advice directly to the local pharmacy management. Although reporting to the Associate Counsel, the Assistant Counsel, Operations will collaborate with all members of the legal department.
Day-to-Day Legal Compliance :
- Provide legal counsel to local pharmacy leadership on key substantive areas affecting the company, including HIPAA, FWA, and healthcare compliance.
- Assist with compliance initiatives, including monitoring pharmacy compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to support the Company's key business objectives.
- Assist with legal and regulatory requests, including responses to subpoenas and other requests for information.
