Guardian Property Management is searching for a Personal, Professional, and Trustworthy applicant. The technician will communicate with a Maintenance Coordinator and perform maintenance tasks of great variety. Tasks could include drywall repair, painting, HVAC inspections, landscaping, minor plumbing, minor electrical, cleaning, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common spaces while upholding GPM Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Receive tasks and guidance from Maintenance Coordinator
- Live out the core values of Guardian Property Management (Personal, Professional, & Trustworthy)
- Uphold GPM Drug and Alcohol policy
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance on electrical systems (replace light bulbs, broken outlets, diagnose tripped breakers, and replace faulty fuses)
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Document purchases and deliver receipts to Maintenance Coordinator
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician (preferred)
- Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Proficient digital communication skills (Text, Apps, Software, etc)
- Good physical condition and ability to lift over 50 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
