What We Need

Guardian Restoration Partners is seeking a Post Merger Financial Integration Analyst to support the seamless integration of newly acquired businesses into our financial systems and accounting policies. Reporting to the Director of Financial Integration, this role will be instrumental in transitioning acquired businesses from cash basis accounting to full GAAP compliance. The Post Merger Financial Integration Analyst will also drive financial system conversions, assess financial operations, and help implement Guardian’s standardized financial practices. This position requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work streams to ensure smooth change management for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • GAAP Conversion & Compliance – Transition acquired businesses from cash or quasi-accrual basis accounting to GAAP-compliant financial reporting and policies.
  • Change Management & Financial Due Diligence – Collaborate with the Director of Financial Integration to execute change management plans, ensuring financial reporting aligns with company standards and key acquisition milestones (e.g., net working capital settlements, earnouts, escrow releases) are met.
  • Financial Operations Standardization – Assist in transitioning financial operations to Guardian’s standardized processes, including banking, treasury, AP, payroll, and collections.
  • Purchase Price Accounting Support – Assist in closing balance sheet preparation, fair valuation (ASC 805), and coordination with external experts where required.
  • System Transition & Data Mapping – Facilitate the migration from legacy accounting systems to Sage Intacct, ensuring accurate data mapping to Guardian’s chart of accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with the onboarding team to catalog financial integration issues and communicate resolution strategies across teams.
  • On-Site Partner Support (15%) – Travel to new partner companies to support integration, process discovery, partner training, and implementation of new financial processes.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years combined experience in Public Accounting, Consulting, or Industry Finance/Accounting roles.
  • 1-2 years experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including purchase price accounting, financial due diligence, and exposure to Net Working Capital (NWC) & earnout settlement processes.
  • 1-2 years experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, ideally related to construction work-in-progress reporting.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.

  • Microsoft Excel: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas to support WIP reporting.
  • Accounting Software: Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and job cost tracking in accounting software.
  • Financial Due Diligence: Ability to review Quality of Earnings (QoE) reports and identify key transition focus areas.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with partner company staff and corporate finance teams as a liaison during onboarding.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize key deadlines, and mitigate risks effectively.

Compensation

Guardian is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $100,000 - $120,000 annual Bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

Location: This role is a hybrid role – requiring 2-3 days/week in the downtown Denver office.
