What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) position at Guardian's Watch?
Here at Guardian's Watch, we work with children and adults with special needs. We work with our participants on their goals and support them in that journey. These goals can include anything from daily living skills (washing dishes, laundry, cooking) to health and fitness goals. We are looking for people that are flexible, outgoing, and a quick learner. No prior training required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in a Community setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor and document patient observations and any changes in condition.
- Maintain clean and safe environments for participants.
- Utilize first aid skills as needed in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion in all interactions with residents.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
