What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alarm Dispatcher position at Guardian Security Systems?
The Company:
Northwest Alarm Monitoring is a privately owned U. L. Listed alarm monitoring station that has been providing monitoring services since 1984. We are a CSAA Five Diamond Certified Central Monitoring Station serving dealers & integrators throughout Washington, Oregon & Idaho.
Core Duties:
- Processing over-the-phone requests
- Dispatching on Fire, Security, Medical, and Life/Safety alarm events
- Comprehend and evaluate alarm signal events quickly and accurately
- Review account signal traffic history accurately and quickly
- Relay account/signal information in a complete and informationally dense manner

Job Requirements:
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Type 25 words per minute
- Prior Customer Service or Call Center Experience Preferred
- Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift with the following schedules available: Weekend shift, graveyard shift, swing shift
- Must remain flexible - schedule may vary due to business needs
Work Location: In person in Yakima. The station is a 24/7 operation with on-site attendance required.
