What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at Guardian Security Systems?
Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator will report to the Director of People and Culture. The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting administrative tasks and internal customer support for our People & Culture Team.
Pay:
- $25 - $28 per hour
Work Setting:
- M-F, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Hybrid out of one of our branches – Seattle, Yakima, or Bellingham
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Employee Records Management: Creating and maintaining employee personnel records.
- Customer Service: Providing customer service to employees of both GSS and NWA by answering questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Special Projects: Aiding in other areas of human resources by doing special projects.
- HR Software: Using specialized human resources software applications.
- Recruiting and Applicant Management: Assisting with first-round recruitment and applicant management with our in-house recruiters.
- Performance Management Support: Supporting performance management and providing education for GSS people leaders. Coordinating and scheduling training.
- Employee Engagement: Participating in employee engagement and events.
- Payroll Backup: Serving as a back-up for Payroll in emergent situations.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Continued education in Human Resources related field (preferred)

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Above average Microsoft Office Suite use, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
- Intermediate or higher computer use
