About the Role
Senior Software Engineer
Guardian Service is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of our growing technology stack. This pivotal role will focus on integrations, cloud infrastructure, and automation—ensuring our platforms work seamlessly together as we scale. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, streamline operations, and enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Integration & Automation
- Design and implement robust API integrations between core platforms (Intake Forms, Comparative Raters, CRM, AMS, Telephony).
- Build automation solutions to eliminate manual processes and enhance efficiency in sales, claims, and customer service workflows.
- Back-End Development & Optimization
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side services that enable real-time data flow.
- Enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment pipelines to maintain system reliability and speed.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Operational Support
- Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or equivalent), ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
- Collaboration & Innovation
- Work with the VP, Finance & Operations to support AI-driven optimizations, advanced process automation, and business expansion initiatives.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge third-party tools that align with Guardian Service’s long-term technology vision.
Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of experience in back-end engineering, systems integration, or software development roles.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go, with a strong understanding of API design, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment best practices.
- Hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems, reduce technical debt, and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms (Stripe, Auth0, Datadog, CRM/ERP systems).
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance considerations in regulated industries.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML-powered automation and analytics.
