Class Title: Security Officer
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Shift Supervisor
Occupational Category: Security
General Duties:
- Performs walking patrols monitoring facility buildings and grounds.
- Conducts vehicle patrols of facility grounds and parking lots (if applicable)
- Identifies, addresses, and reports any security and maintenance issues identified.
- Maintains, prepares, and submits all appropriate logs, reports, files, and documentation relative to the assigned area.
- Monitors security cameras.
- Provides assistance and direction to facility visitors and guests.
- Performs various site-specific duties and tasks assigned by the client.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Physical demands include sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must have the strength and agility to allow the employee to perform job duties which would be found at the level of Light work (i.e. exerting 5-20 pounds of force) and including occasional medium work (i.e. exerting up to 50 pounds of force).
- Working conditions can include exposure to dangerous and/or hazardous situations, continuous noises, bright lights, humid surroundings, extreme hot or cold temperatures, dust, and odors.
Education, Training and Experience Required:
- Completion of high school or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Will be required to possess a valid driver’s license (if vehicle patrol is required)
- Must be able to operate GuardLogic and/or client provided vehicles in a safe, prudent, and responsible manner (if vehicle patrol is required)
Other Requirements:
- All positions require drug testing before employment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor.
- Subject to shift work, extended duty hours, holiday, and weekend duty.

Salary: $11.00 per hour, with a pay raise after probationary period.
