Job Description Role Mission The Senior Manager of Special Events is responsible for collaborating with the Special Events Director to strategize, design and execute all brand event programs, including large-scale annualized image events, store opening events, scaled retail initiatives and special brand experiences in North America. Key Accountabilities Collaborate with the Special Events Director to strategize, conceptualize and execute an aggressive events program which reinforces the communications objectives of the brand and considers the business goals of the region; Contribute to Integrated Marketing and business decks to effectively communicate event strategy, goals and successes cross functionally; Develop and leverage brand partnerships through events and activities that elevate and align with the image of the brand; Build creative overviews to share proposals with and elicit feedback from the worldwide office; Oversee individual event budgets, partnering with the Special Events Director to ensure effective spending; Suggest appropriate vendors, consultants, and production partners, as needed; Work internally with other departments in the Brand Engagement team to maximize event opportunities such as added-value programs, influencer activities, and press opportunities; Work cross functionally with corporate teams (including Visual Merchandising, Client Engagement, Retail, Merchandising, Store Planning, etc.); Work with Gucci legal team to review and revise contracts; Work with Special Events Manager and Director to oversee the event production process and timelines; Manage production of corporate collateral materials with the Corporate Image Department to various events and initiatives; Manage monthly and yearly reporting to provide high level analytics to internal teams. Key Requirements College degree and a minimum of 7 years working in an event or marketing related position; Established and strong relationships with industry partners/vendors; Highly proficient in Microsoft Word; Excel; PowerPoint: Outlook; Adobe Pro, Fashion GPS; Strong interpersonal and relationship--building skills; Understanding, knowledge and interest in fashion, philanthropy, culture, and art; Strong writing and verbal skills; Strong management and negotiation skills; Detail-oriented and highly organized; Positive and focused professional team player; Blend of analytical and creative skills; Travel within the US and Canada (30-50%).
