Key Purpose
- Places orders and receives orders from purveyors.
- Maintain accurate inventory to the highest standards for organization, cleanliness, and safety.

- Verify and keep accurate records on incoming orders
- Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs, and verifies items on requisitions or invoices
- Receives and processes a wider variety of incoming freight, including produce, meats, dairy, dry goods, chemicals, and other materials on a daily basis and according to priority
- Compares incoming products to bills of invoices, orders, or other records to verify information
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with vendors to rectify damages and shortages
- Orders Products using Net menu Platform and rotates stock to ensure freshness
- Prepares product for distribution, including transportation and storage
- Returns damaged items or other items to vendors that do not meet our specifications
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping
- Complies with all HACCP/OSHA, and/ or local policies and procedures related to all assigned work
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments
- Drive company van and make deliveries
- Build relationships with delivery vendors

- Previous food-receiving experience is a plus
- Current Food Handler card or ability to be certified immediately after hire
- Must have a current Driver's License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus
- Must be willing and able to safely drive an 18' panel van
- Must be willing and able to learn how to safely operate a fork lift
- Ability to communicate with coworkers and other departments with professionalism and respect
- Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives
- Excellent computer skills
- Produce, Meat, and Seafood product knowledge
- The job requires knowledge of MSDS and correct chemical handling
- Assist other team members and staff as required
- Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
- Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
- Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
- Ability to remove garbage and transport to dumpster areas
- Proper lifting skills when handling stock
- Ability to load and push a cart long distances
