As our BIM Coordinator/Desktop Support Specialist, you will play a key role in the success of multi-disciplinary projects by driving the implementation and optimization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows while also solving problems, supporting smart teams, and keeping systems running smoothly. What You’ll Do
- Champion BIM standards, practices, and protocols firm-wide to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop BIM Execution Plans and provide guidance on best practices.
- Troubleshoot model issues, perform quality checks, and maintain model health across disciplines.
- Train and mentor design staff on BIM tools and workflows (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.).
- Research emerging technologies to improve productivity and digital delivery strategies.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to support BIM infrastructure and software integrations.
- Provide frontline support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals across multiple office locations.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (Windows 10/11, Office 365, VPNs, printing, etc.).
- Configure and deploy new devices using imaging tools and asset management systems.
- Assist with user account management, permissions, and security settings (Active Directory, Azure, MFA).
- Collaborate with IT leadership on continuous improvements, upgrades, and system rollouts.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to resources for employees.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 10 years of experience in BIM coordination within the AEC industry/IT support experience, preferably in a professional services or AEC environment.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of model-based collaboration across disciplines.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, basic networking, and enterprise hardware.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, patience, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
