Job Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing skilled and routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the large campus. This role includes cleaning residences (with weekly and every 5-week deep cleans including linen changes) as well as maintaining the main buildings and studios on a daily and weekly basis.The housekeeper must demonstrate a strong dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

General Cleaning & Sanitation including daily cleaning of main buildings and studios:

• Clean assigned areas as directed by management while adhering to environmentally friendly practices.
• Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, door panels (inside and out), door ledges, and thresholds.
• Pull trash from receptacles, replace trash bags, and clear trash from tables and floors/grounds, including pool area.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all designated areas, including under beds, desks, and behind nightstands.

Residence & Linen Services:

• Change linens and make beds according to schedule.
• Perform weekly and every 5-week deep cleans of residences, ensuring all linens are refreshed.
• Check and restock missing items in rooms, including soaps for bathrooms, kitchens and laundry detergent for guests.

Bathroom & Kitchen Cleaning:

• Clean and sanitize bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, bathroom scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes ensuring they are free of spots, mold, mildew, and dust.
• Sweep and mop all bathroom floors.
• Dust all lights, sconces, make-up mirrors, and lampshades.
• Laundry Duties:
• Perform laundry tasks as assigned, including operating washer and dryer.

Quality & Safety:

• Notify the General Manager of any quality control issues or repairs needed.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.

Communication & Professionalism:

• Constantly communicate with other employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Represent the company in a professional and positive manner when interacting with clients, guests, and co-workers.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits and an ability to learn and follow important safety precautions.
Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 35 lbs. regularly, 45 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
• Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
Works in wet and slippery conditions. Frequently works in a hot and damp environment.
Frequently immerses hands in water.
• Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

• Rolling cart.
• Industrial Washer and Dryer.
• Cleaning Supplies (including detergents, chemicals, vacuums, mops, brooms, scourers, hand towels, etc.).
