Position Summary
Guggenheim Investments is seeking an experienced Market Data Manager to join the Data Services Team. This role requires strong combination of time management skills, effective communication skills, and solid knowledge of market data services. This person will manage the day-to-day market data operations, collaborating closely with Operational Due Diligence Services, Business Leads, IT, and Market Data providers.
This role is located in the Chicago office.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Act as business point of contact for all market data service reviews, working closely with Operational Due Diligence Services, App Development, Business Leads and technology vendors to help oversee and manage the firm's market data spend;
- Work directly with individuals across the business to determine need for market data and ensure usage is maximized and there is no redundancy in vendor services;
- Manage documentation for new, renewing and terminating market data vendors and track the meta data for those vendors in the firm's OMS;
- Administer entitlements and perform regular audits of active users to ensure user count is accurate
- Maintain accurate information on each market data vendor including descriptions, terms, financials, and contacts
- Reconcile actual market data vendor costs to finance projections and investigate discrepancies
- Create business unit market data vendor reporting and track spend across business units and functions
- Ensure data in the Market Data Management System is accurately maintained by service provider.
- Assist the Finance Team with market data related invoicing questions and requests for review of invoices
- Manage the day-to-day firmwide market data operations, including adding or deleting users, swapping Bloomberg IDs, and reconciling invoices
- Ensure accurate allocations of market data services to individual business units and users
- Understand user requirements for contract renewals, and user requests for new services
- Identify cost-effective opportunities and socialize those ideas with stakeholders
- Manage and oversee technology and tools supporting market data management
