The Director of FP&A will report to the CFO and be a senior member of the finance team that has oversight for a team responsible for financial and operational reporting, forecasting and budgeting. The FP&A team partners closely with the firm’s business leaders to deliver value-added business analysis and financial and operational insights that lead to informed decision making by the executive team. The successful candidate will lead this function and elevate our approach to FP&A by improving reporting outputs, routines and developing forward looking analytics and insights that will enable better business decisions.

Position Summary

Essential Job Functions
- Lead the annual budgeting process, long term financial forecasting, monthly reporting and special projects (e.g., strategic initiatives and finance transformation)
- Drive implementation of rolling forecasts and analysis of results against forecast / plan
- Prepare executive reporting materials and presentations to summarize results and assess outlook
- Develop financial models and analysis, including cash flow (direct & indirect) and key balance sheet metrics
- Conduct quarterly valuation analysis of the business and benchmark against publicly traded peers
- Support modernization of the firm’s financial reporting infrastructure by instituting and leveraging tools and systems
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to motivate others and influence across functions and levels
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organization, time management, and oral / written communication skills
- High attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality work product
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Desire to take ownership of processes and improve them
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with Workday ERP and OneStream CPM systems
- Ability to successfully operate in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred
- Work experience of 10 to 12 years in an FP&A role
- Financial Services industry preferred
- Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
- Annual base salary between $175,000 - $225,000
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
