Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Program Manager to lead our Space and Airborne Systems supply chain initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations teams to ensure the successful execution of satellite programs. The ideal candidate will drive alignment with commodity strategies, optimize the supply base, and achieve the lowest total acquisition cost for key programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Lead supply chain program management for Space and Airborne Systems, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and execution excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in partnership with Engineering, Program Management, and Operations to drive program execution and integrate supply chain strategies.
Commodity Strategy Alignment: Implement and optimize commodity strategies to support program objectives and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Cost Management: Manage budgets, sales forecasting, and cost performance as a Cost Account Manager for subcontracts, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Supplier Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, driving performance improvements and cost reductions while ensuring quality and delivery standards are met.
Travel: Periodically travel to supplier facilities, primarily within domestic locations, to foster strong partnerships and oversee supply chain operations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in supply chain management or program management within the aerospace or defense industry.
Clearance: Secret clearance is preferred.
Contract Experience: Familiarity with various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF), Time and Materials (T&M), Labor Hour, and Cost Reimbursement (with fixed fee, incentive fee, or award fee).
Financial Acumen: Proven experience as a Cost Account Manager for subcontracts, managing budgets, and sales forecasting.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel periodically to supplier facilities (mainly domestic locations).
