We are seeking a full-time experienced SVP Technology Services/ CIO local to the Northern Virginia / Washington DC Metro Area.
Summary
The SVP Technology Services / CIO is responsible for the effective Management and Operation of the Information Technology department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
The department encompasses three key functions:
Customer Support - Delivering exceptional service and technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
Systems and Security - Safeguarding IT infrastructure and ensuring comprehensive cybersecurity measures.
Software Development and maintenance: Overseeing the upkeep of Mortgage Origination and Lead Management software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
Provides leadership and vision for the organizations technology roadmap, identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and their potential impact
Oversees the planning, development, and maintenance of the organizations IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks and vendors
Manages IT budgets, resources and personnel effectively and efficiently
Protects the organizations sensitive data from cyber threats and data breaches, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations
Establish departmental procedures and ensure compliance with company policies; establish departmental goals and policies
Determine user needs, objectives, and desired functionalities. Document system requirements, including features, inputs, and outputs
Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, system interface, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
Write and maintain documentation to describe application development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
Drive innovation through technology by assessing feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and software to make new recommendations to improve existing systems
Develop and maintain project management plans outlining steps and timetables for developing programs
Oversee prompt technical and functional assistance by responding to and resolving challenges from customers including troubleshooting, error resolution, and answering questions about programs
Develop and maintain management and operational reports
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises the Information Technology department. Responsibilities include managing and training employees and planning, assigning, and directing work.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 plus years experience in a related capacity.
Minimum 5-10 years experience in a leadership capacity within an Information Technology environment. Mortgage and or Banking experience preferred.
Understanding of Agency and State requirements as it relates to IT infrastructure and security of customer data.
Exceptional follow-up and customer service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in high-demand high-pressure situations.
Location in Northern Virginia, Greater DC area preferred or Mortgage Lending or Banking experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Physical Demands
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
