At Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB), our facilities team has the important job of making sure our campuses are operating optimally and efficiently. As a Facilities Technician at our beautiful campus in San Rafael, you’ll enjoy keeping our buildings in top shape and providing the support that enables us to achieve our daily goals. You’ll perform intermediate-to-advanced-level tasks, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Duties may involve plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC for buildings, equipment, fleet, grounds, and off-site properties.

- You’ll work a consistent 40-hour schedule Monday through Friday, with an occasional weekend day when we have a graduation ceremony. Unlike many facilities jobs, we have no night hours and we’re flexible when you need to take some time to manage your life.

The qualifications you’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC maintenance required
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency using general power tools, meters, and testing devices
- Vocational/trade school experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license and insurability at non-risk rates
