Guide Property Services is a mid-size property management company in Seattle, WA and growing extremely fast! We are seeking 1-2 motivated and enthusiastic Leasing and Marketing Interns to join our team this summer. This internship opportunity offers valuable exposure to various aspects of property management and leasing operations. As a Leasing and Marketing Intern, you will work closely with our property management and marketing teams to assist in all stages of the leasing process, including unit marketing, property tours, special projects, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants, highlighting the features and benefits of our properties.
- Coordinate and schedule property showings, following up with leads and maintaining a database of prospective tenants.
- Assist with unit marketing by taking photos and video walk-throughs of vacant units as well as posting ads to Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.
- Collaborate with the leasing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of lease terms, unit specifications, availability, current market conditions, and all community policies and ensure understanding of required application information, screening process, policies, and procedures.
- Support the leasing team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and States laws.
- Bring new ideas to the table for apartment marketing strategies and process improvement projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- This position entails both on-site work at our Westlake office and conducting apartment showings for our extensive portfolio of 120 buildings spanning the Greater Seattle Area.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, etc.) or recent graduate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with prospective tenants.
- Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio) is a plus.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to utilize a personal smart device for apps related to property operations and communication.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Valid Driver’s License and daily access to a reliable vehicle for travel to properties in the Seattle area.
