What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Home, Behavioral/Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Guided Steps NJ Corp?
Currently seeking a DSP to work with a young adult male in the Monmouth Junction area. The hours are somewhat flexible, but the family is looking for staff 3 days per week for 3- 4 hour shifts.

Guided Steps NJ is seeking DSPs throughout Central NJ to work with adults with special needs, in a one-to-one capacity, in their homes and communities The role of the DSP is to assist individuals in their Daily living skills, socialization, traveling, shopping, meal preparation, hygiene, behavioral skills deficits, and much more. Everyone we serve is unique and so are their needs, we tailor services based on these needs to ensure individuals are able meet the goals most meaningful to them.

Minimum Requirements:
- Is passionate about working with Individuals with I/DD
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to pass required background check, State, Federal, Central Registry and Drug tests
- Complete/possess all required trainings
- Must possess a valid driver's license that is currently in good standing with a good record
Additional Requirement for DSPs working with individuals with behavioral deficits
- Ability to implement instructional and behavior support programs
- Follow through with ABA-based intervention techniques such as chaining, prompting, incidental teaching, fading, etc.
- Collect, summarize, and reports data
- Makes use of/recommends materials, equipment, and supplies
- Additional PBIS trainings
- Carries out other duties as may be requested by the Clinical Director or Behavioral Assessor
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field
- Registered Behavioral Technician
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
