Title : Manager, Sourcing and Procurement

Reports to : Vice President, Operations

Department / Location : Remote

FLSA Status : Exempt

Summary :

The Sourcing & Procurement Manager, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, will be responsible for developing and managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the procurement of essential clinical and operational supplies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain efficiency, and cost management in a multi-state behavioral healthcare setting.

Responsibilities :

Procurement Strategy & Vendor Management

Develop and implement a sourcing and procurement strategy to support national expansion.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, including but not limited to those providing furniture, office equipment, office supplies, and facility services.

Establish strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

Conduct and manage debarment checks for new and existing vendor partners.

Cost Management & Contract Negotiation

Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with vendors to optimize cost savings without compromising quality.

Develop and enforce cost-control measures to align with the company's financial and operational objectives.

Work closely with finance and operations teams to track procurement budgets and forecast future needs.

Supply Chain & Logistics Management

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of essential clinical supplies to new and existing locations.

Develop processes to streamline procurement workflows, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.

Oversee inventory management processes for cost-effective supply chain operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with real estate, clinic operations, finance, IT, and clinical leadership to understand supply needs and align procurement strategies with company goals.

Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure contracts and purchases meet regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities comply with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices.

Monitor state and federal guidelines affecting procurement in behavioral health settings.

Act as a point of escalation for complex intake cases or client concerns.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree preferred.

3 years of procurement and sourcing experience, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site operations.

Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and optimize procurement processes.

Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain management, cost control, and compliance requirements.

Experience in a fast-growing start-up or multi-location environment is a plus.

Proficiency in procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of behavioral health services, including PHP and IOP, and familiarity with clinical assessment protocols are a plus.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.

Proficiency in using data to drive decisions and improve processes.
