What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher position at Guidepost Montessori?
We are now hiring for Summer Camp Teachers for the 2025 Summertime In our lovely Guidepost in Mahwah!
Our summer camps run from June to August. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles.
Your Role
In this Summer Camp role, you will support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities. This is a great opportunity to start your career in Montessori, and early childhood education more generally, as many of our Assistant Guides ultimately grow to take on Lead Guide roles over time, thanks to our MACTE-accredited Montessori training program.

We're looking for a Summer Teacher who will bring their best in order to support every child in reaching their highest potential!
Guidepost Assistant Guides:
- Observe children closely to understand and best meet their needs
- Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration
- Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child's development
- Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect
We would love to talk to you if you:
- Are familiar with the development of young children
- Have strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service oriented mindset
- Are willing to grow and learn
- Have a valid negative TB test (in the last 12 months) or are willing to take prior to your state date.
- Have a valid CPR certification or are willing to become certified prior to start date.
- Are excited to learn more about Montessori Education.
