Your Responsibilities : As we continue to grow rapidly, your primary responsibilities will include :
Team Leadership : Scale and lead a full-stack engineering team focused on product engineering, platform engineering, quality assurance, security, and infrastructure.Technical Excellence : Enhance technical quality through robust code reviews and architectural improvements.Execution & Delivery : Own the engineering roadmap, ensuring timely and quality product feature delivery.Talent Management : Attract, retain, and develop top-tier engineering talent, leveraging a network of strong candidates.Process Improvement : Continuously enhance engineering processes with an emphasis on Agile development methodologies.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with the CTO on product design and management for cohesive operations.Inclusive Remote Leadership : Cultivate a high-performance culture across our fully remote teams.Who You Are : You should bring a proven track record that includes :
10 years of experience in engineering, including 5 years as an engineering manager or director in high-growth startup settings.A degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution.Expertise in scaling high-performance, data-driven distributed systems, with familiarity in Javascript (Node / Typescript / Vue) and cloud platforms such as GCP.A hands-on leadership style that inspires and mentors a high-performing engineering team.A results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to impactful decision-making.A commitment to continuous growth and receptivity to constructive feedback.A sense of ownership and accountability for projects.An appreciation for systems-oriented processes and strong written communication skills.Willingness to travel at least once monthly to our San Francisco headquarters and / or customer locations.What We Offer : When you join Guidewheel, you’ll enjoy a dynamic work environment with the following benefits :
