Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of care in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with physical, mental , or developmental disabilities, and memory care needs. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring a clean cooking environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client requirements, particularly for those with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
Experience
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred, especially in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Familiarity with CPR techniques and first aid is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
