Assistant Store Receiver

Guido’s is looking for an Assistant Store Receiver for our renovated Great Barrington store. Are you a well-organized multitasker who enjoys physical work and thrives in a fast-paced team setting? This could be a perfect fit for you.

This is a full-time position (5 days/40 hours per week) Shift times vary between 5am-1pm & 6am-2pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives deliveries and checks quantities of items accurately
• Reviews of the quality of the products when checking in orders
• Verifies actual product against packing slips
• Identifies refrigerated and frozen products properly
• Assist with transfers between stores
• Ensure proper labeling of perishable and frozen transfers between stores
• Splits/separates invoices by category and store, where appropriate
• Adheres to and meets receiving standards as guided by Store Receiver
• Assist in maintaining the baler, compactor, and all areas in proper working order, ties bales
• During inclement weather, assists with snow removal and salting the perimeter of the store
• When receiving duties are completed for the day, help with grocery stock, inventory and customer service is required

Requirements

• Pallet Jack and Lift experience is a plus, but Guido’s provides proper training and certification.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Adhere to all OSHA workplace regulations
• Effective time management skills
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Ability to communicate with department managers
• Comfortable with colder temperatures (cooler/freezer)
• Be upright and moving for long periods of time
• Lower oneself to grasp objects
• Comfortable using ladders
• Move carts with products weighing up to 100 pounds

Pay Range: Up to $19/hour, commensurate with experience
