Title: Dakota County ACT Clinical Supervisor

Purpose:

This position leads an interdisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, modeling high-quality clinical services and applying servant leadership principles to prioritize the needs of the team and individuals served. The role fosters trust, collaboration, and empowerment, delivering person-centered, community-based wraparound services to individuals with serious mental health and/or substance use disorders, promoting self-directed, fulfilling lives while minimizing hospitalizations and external resource reliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily team operations, provide treatment oversight, and offer clinical supervision and guidance in collaboration with the psychiatric provider, ensuring TMACT Fidelity.
  • Supervise, hire, train, and manage staff performance to align with agency values, mission, and a culture of accountability.
  • Monitor and manage client census, referrals, intakes, and transfers for care transitions.
  • Oversee client records for progress tracking and regulatory compliance and monitor, review and approve team clinical documentation as required.
  • Assess and monitor the mental health needs of clients, including completing diagnostic assessments, updating treatment plans, and providing direct care/individual therapy services in a community-based setting as needed.
  • Collaborate with other service providers and natural supports, ensuring clear communication and coordination of services.
  • Complete required documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in professional development activities, continuing education, and supervision as required by licensure and team needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support client care and department operations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatments for adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), particularly psychotic disorders and co-occurring substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with community resources, county benefits, and mental health services.
  • Understanding of laws, statutes, policies, and requirements affecting services.
  • Strong rapport-building, assessment, and crisis intervention skills, including de-escalation and connecting clients to higher levels of care.
  • Proficient clinical judgment to make decisions and provide direction to the team.
  • Capable of managing workload, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to adapt to and lead change and develop new approaches to meet client needs.
  • Skill in providing constructive feedback and recognizing staff contributions for growth.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily community-based with frequent travel to homes and community locations.
  • Regular travel required, including transporting individuals in a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to walk, stand and navigate stairs for extended periods in various environments.
  • Prolonged desk work for documentation, communication and data entry.
  • Occasionally lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, pets, and tobacco smoke, with adherence to safety protocols.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC) in the state of Minnesota OR the ability to become fully/independently licensed within three months of the date of hire.

Preferred:

  • Two years' experience working with individuals with SPMI in a community-based or ACT setting and some leadership experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License, reliable vehicle, satisfactory driving record, and required insurance.
  • Availability for 24/7 on-call crisis support on a rotating schedule.
  • Must not be currently receiving or have received services from Guild Incorporated within the last two years.

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $81,000 annually. The range reflects the minimum and maximum salary for the position. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s professional experience, skills, and relevant education, training, and certifications.
