School Social Worker

Position: Elementary Level Social Worker Full-Time Probationary Position

Location: Lynnwood Elementary School and Westmere Elementary School

Minimum Job Requirements: NYS Certification as a School Social Worker Required. Master's Degree in Social Work LCSW Preferred

Job Description:

Provide comprehensive school social work services for parents, students and school staff, addressing barriers that limit a student from receiving full benefit from their educational experience.

Respond to referrals from school administration, parents, teachers, the Student Support Team, the Committee on Special Education Committee and others by providing direct services and by assisting families in accessing appropriate community resources.

In district travel is required.
