What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Sales position at Guildhouse?
Guildhouse is seeking to a commission-based corporate Event Sales professional for the largest private event space in Downtown San Jose.
Guildhouse is a high-tech, 800 guest venue adjacent to the San Jose Convention Center with a full bar and production studio. Venue rental packages range from $10,000-$100,000 and commission up to 15% per rental.
Responsibilities include:
- Acquiring and following up on corporate event leads
- Touring potential clients on the venue
- Selling available venue packages and additional services
- Sending out contracts for client signature
- Collecting deposit
- Hand-off (and ongoing communication) with Events Coordinator for logistical planning, calendar, event execution
Applicants should have:
- Experience selling and booking corporate events such as company holiday parties, team builders, offsite events, convention satellite events, seminars, product launches, cocktail reception, dinner meetings, workshops.
- Existing relationships with local corporate event planners
- Portfolio of past events sold & executed
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $15,000.00 per month
