DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates visual elements, digital and print using advanced design principles in typography, color theory, scale and composition.
- Collaborates with Communications / Public Relations staff to develop ideas and concept designs that are both artistically interesting and engaging while effectively communicating information and ideas to the target audience.
- Maintains and updates project tracking on Monday.com, coordinating access with collaborators and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Identify and execute all steps necessary to move projects from concept to completion.
- Performs related duties as required.
RECRUITMENT STANDARDS
- Proficient knowledge with current design software, such as but not limited to: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of digital photo editing and optimization for print, digital and web delivery.
- Familiar with the creative process, open to sharing ideas, critique and direction, and a willingness to make changes to designs.
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting desired deadlines determined by internal clients.
- Ability to concept designs that are both artistically interesting and engaging while effectively communicating information and ideas to the target audience.
Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and Paint
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- At least 5 years of experience in a government agency
