The Website Content Creator (WCC) is an integral member of the Marketing Systems Department at GTCC, responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing content across the college's Internet and Intranet websites. This role focuses on delivering a positive, engaging user experience while ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.
The WCC must demonstrate initiative, independent judgment, and discretion in prioritizing tasks and completing assignments, with guidance provided as needed. Collaboration is central to this role, as the WCC works closely with the marketing team to align website content with broader marketing and communication goals. Additionally, this position requires regular communication with staff, faculty, and administration to prioritize site content and gather relevant information for online publication.
Min Salary $56,391.86 Mid Salary $63,440.85 - We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. - Associate Degree or above is required.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with a Content Management System
- Experience working with HTML, CSS and online forms
- Expertise in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
- Expertise in Adobe products (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro)
- Excellent project management skills with a strong sense of teamwork and work ethic.
- Strong knowledge of and experience designing and managing multiple websites
- Strong knowledge of and experience understanding the graphics application and conversion of digital photographs, as well as publications for online format
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills with a strong sense of creativity needed.
- Strong communication skills: This person may be called upon to speak with any college faculty or staff member. Must be able to explain technical procedures in "layman's terms" in a manner that will be helpful to the other parties.
