Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction in engineering courses, including statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and materials science. They will also be required to participate in professional development activities, maintain current credentials or licensures as required by program or accreditation, and support the college's instructional mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engineering courses designed for transfer to university baccalaureate programs
- Develop and implement learner-centered lesson plans
- Utilize teaching strategies and instructional materials that cater to different learning styles
- Integrate current technology into classroom, distance learning, and laboratory environments
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Experience in teaching introductory engineering courses and/or providing industry-based training/education on introductory engineering content
- Familiarity with engineering computing applications (e.g., C or C , Matlab, Solid Works)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Doctoral degree from an accredited university
- Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes
- Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems
