Controller

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage multiple financial functions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of payroll processing and ensure accuracy in employee compensation.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline financial operations and reporting.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant regulations.
• Provide insights on debits and credits to support informed decision-making within the organization.
• Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation processes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, including accounts receivable management and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience with various accounting software platforms for efficient financial management.
• People/Team management experience is required.
• Excellent analytical skills for balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS standards and their application in financial reporting.
• Ability to effectively manage debits and credits within the accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to create controls for a growing company.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
