The Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and confident Sr. Electrical Engineer who can build on the positive relationships we have with our clients. They need to be sharp problem-solver who is on top of everything happening at Guinn Partners and is able to communicate that clearly to our clients and to our teams.
Minimum Requirements (7 years):
Ability to develop and write code for Arduino Zero and NXP S32K1xx ( Both ARM Cortex M0-M4 MCU's. )
Experience with either Arduino and/or NXP S32K SDK's (IDE for 32-bit ARM Cortex)
Phython and C coding skills for embedded 32-bit MCU's.
Advanced electronic fabrication skills for prototyping 1st articles. (Soldering, etc.)
MS Word/Excel skills for Documentation and Reporting
Additional Skills (7 years):
Experience with Altium or OrCAD (Not Cadence) Schematic Design Tools (PCB Layout experience a plus.)
Ability/willingness to work with numerous vendors/suppliers with respect to building customer specific B.O.M.'s
Basic RF exposure/experience.
Ham Radio or GROL Certification.
Responsibilities
Bottoms up forecasting for all project work you and your team are assigned.
Electrical and power system diagramming
Development and production grade parts research
Supplier research
Creating BOMs
Estimating the labor component of electrical assemblies for manufacturing guides
Assembling prototype electrical components for development and testing purposes.
Testing
Documentation creation
Weekly reporting
Candidates must live in the Austin, TX area and be able to work in our office during business hours.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a 90-day evaluation period.
