POSITION OVERVIEW ·
Design Sales Associates for Guiry’s, consistently display their excellent customer service and sales skills to help achieve success. This role is instrumental to the locations overall profitability. Designers are essential in continuing and building relationships with homeowners and business professionals, alike. Our Designers care, and stand behind our high-quality services and brands.
From selecting paint colors, to adding energy efficiency with window treatments, our Design Sales Associates are the brand ambassadors of the excellent services and products we offer.
A successful candidate provides all clients with education, guidance, and on-trend insight, about how to design a new, or existing space.

Designers successfully manage all client projects from beginning to end; idea to execution!
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Establish genuine relationships with clients, team members, and vendors
- Build client confidence and referral business
- Display welcoming behaviors to fulfill client demands
- Identify selling opportunities to promote Design services, products, and resources
- Confident to resolve challenges and overcome objections
- Pro-actively seeks new clients and projects to meet sales goals
- Strong communications with clients and vendors to process projection through to completion
- Serve as a subject matter expert on design products, and industry marketplace trends
- Provide sales floor coverage and capture new walk-in clients
- Assist with upkeep of products, displays and showroom
- Support and model our values when interacting with teammates, vendors, and clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent, preferably a bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
· Min. of two years providing solutions-oriented customer service, ideally in a retail environment.
· Prior experience establishing and maintaining a portfolio of active clients.
· Self-motivated, goal oriented and results driven.
· Prior retail and commissioned sales experience a plus. Experience with Hunter Douglas products a plus. Custom drapery sales also a plus.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; heavier merchandise with assistance.
· Must have own reliable transportation to visit clients in-home.
· Versed in computer software, and customer management systems
