Position Type : Full-Time, Exempt
Job Definition : Under the general supervision of the Distance Learning Solutions, Inc. Directors, this position performs a variety of tasks with the major responsibility being that of providing exceptional instructional-related services for families and students participating in a virtual schooling program.
Reports to : Program Directors of Distance Learning Solutions, Inc.
Job Characteristics : Instructional-related services shall include communication, skill development, the expansion of knowledge, and the development of the ability to reason. The use of independent judgment and decision-making is required in many matters not having established rules, regulations, policies, or precedents.
Primary Functions :
- Guide instructional plans according to individual student needs using a variety of curricula and virtual tools
- Initiate, plan, and carry out regular and required parent / student meetings via technology platforms
- Complete daily and monthly reports
- Answer and respond to student portfolio submissions, report cards, emails, texts, and phone calls on a daily basis
- Maintain tracking / spreadsheet of student and family data
- Communicate and meet with the Special Ed team as caseload requires
- Attend and participate in all required company and program virtual meetings
- Plan and teach weekly virtual classes
- Travel to and manage field trips in a variety of locations
- Give, receive, and incorporate feedback
- Contribute to the continuous innovation that is required of a unique distance learning program
- Use a variety of computer software, including Google Suite for Education, and MS Excel
