Position Description
We are looking for skilled production Warehouse Associates (Packers) to set-up, maintain, and operate machinery that includes the safe and efficient operation of a variety of tasks in the manufacturing of chocolate products. Employees will be required to operate equipment and machinery according to manufacturing instructions, while ensuring the production of quality goods. Employees must adhere to safety and environmental objectives and targets while performing work functions.
Must be able to train and work during both shifts for the first 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Compliance with all governmental regulatory requirements and Guittard Chocolate policy.
- Inspect production areas for GMP compliance and enforce CAPA with functional owners.
- Inspect product quality, sample and analyze against specification, and follow through CAPA.
- Conduct lab analysis and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Interpret data and reports on trend/data analysis to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards in QC Laboratory and other analytical areas.
- Responsible for daily equipment maintenance.
- Responsible for laboratory and quality records in compliance with the factory Quality Monitoring Scheme (QMS), which includes proper storage and retrieval.
- Report out detailed information regarding the products that are held and released.
- Support traceability exercises, product trace and recall procedures.
- Supporting member of the factory Internal Audit Team.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Check allergen clean out effectiveness as needed.
- Train production personnel on required quality check.
- Special projects assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
- 1-3 years of production-related experience; mixing and refining skills are desirable.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written), required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach continuously during the shift, lift/carry up to 50lbs, and occasionally work in temperatures of 90 degrees.
- Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Shifts: (with a 30-minute lunch break)
1st Shift: 6:50 AM to 3:20 PM
2nd Shift: 3:10 to 11:10 PM
