The Fuel Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of fuel management, ensuring efficient and compliant fuel handling, storage, and distribution. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are adhered to. The position requires strong complex thinking, problem-solving abilities, proficient math skills, and effective management of the inventory for the entire company.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of fuel.
- Track fuel usage by Operating Unit and equipment unit number.
- Compile a usage log weekly for submission.
- Handle requests from Operating Units for additional fluids needed.
- Monitor fuel levels and manage inventory to ensure adequate supply.
- Coordinate fuel deliveries with suppliers and manage delivery schedules.
- Place orders for products with the supplier’s service representative.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel inventory, deliveries, and usage.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on fuel operations.
- Provide instruction to suppliers on invoicing details and provide purchase orders
- Price local parts and services to get the best price and quality for the shop.
- Maintains a research cross-reference file in order to correctly identify parts.
- Receive parts and update data in the system
- Keeps record of all parts assigned to field service mechanics and ensures all unused parts for a specific job are returned to inventory.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, supplies, and resources across the company
- Track and manage the usage, storage, and replenishment of resources in all departments.
- Conduct regular audits of company-wide inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely restocking of essential items.
- Develop and implement inventory control systems and procedures for the entire company.
- Cross train where possible, and other miscellaneous duties
- Any other tasks assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree (preferred)
- 1 Year Experience (preferred)
- Proficient math skills for accurate calculations and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, plus listening skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability of complex thinking and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by aviation regulations.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Position may require a flexible schedule at times, on-call availability.
- Able to work indoor and outdoor environment.
- Able to lift over 30-lbs.
