WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Permanency Specialist is an exempt position responsible for all aspects of permanency. May be required to provide supervision of team members depending upon program needs. Florida Certification Board certification required.
- Coordinate and facilitate staffings and meetings at frequency required by state law, Funder requirements, and program policy
- Track, monitor and manage statistical information regarding permanency and measure agency performance against state requirements. Develop strategies and action plans so as to bring shortfalls into compliance across predicted timeframes
- Complete other tasks, as assigned, related to quality control and contractual performance.
- Facilitate and resolve disputes, complaints and discrepancies related to consumers, stakeholders and partners
- Provide modeling, training, and development of professional skills to program employees
- Maintain working knowledge of community resources to assist staff in coordination of services for children and families
- Maintain ongoing communication with community partners and stakeholders as required
- Participate in on-call rotation in accordance with agency policy and program procedure
- Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies, federal and state statutes, as evidenced by obtaining needed releases of information
- Provide oversight and supervision to team members, as assigned based on program needs
- Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Candidate must have a current Child Welfare Certification with the Florida Certification Board.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Related areas of study are Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Special Education, Education, Human Development, Child Development, Family Development, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Nursing.
- Or Master's degree related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least two years of experience in human services or child welfare programs preferred
- Must have reliable transportation & ability to use personal car to transport clients. Must have a valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance coverage
