Medical Receptionist Front Office

Medical Receptionist Front Office responsibilities include providing amazing customer service to patients and maintaining proper business and patient records. This includes performing receptionist duties such as answering phone calls and appointment scheduling, accurate billing, preparation and maintenance of current patient information, and other general office and administrative duties as assigned.
The Position:
- Greet patients into the office, check in for scheduled appointments
- Answering telephones and scheduling appointments
- Open/close front office according to office protocol
- Ensuring all patient data is entered, updated accurately and correctly
- Creating new patient profiles and entering demographics
- Check out patients, schedule follow up appointments, and collect payments
- Patient Communication: in-person interaction, telephone and email inquiries
- Manage fax and emails communication
- Keep lobby and retail areas clean, stocked, and promotional items current
- Admin tasks: Manages filing, scanning, shredding, faxing, copying, mailing
- Coordinate inventory and ordering of front office supplies
Requirements:
- Superior customer service skills and great personality
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in front office operations in a medical practice, or previous experience in a high-volume reception office with a focus on customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Scanner, fax machine, copy machine, multiple phone lines, internet applications and tools
- Works well in a small team and ready to “jump-in” to get the job done
- Quick learner who adapts well to any situation
- Friendly demeanor and prompt response to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Record systems; eClinicalWorks experience a plus
- Demonstrates ability to maintain patient flow
Must be available to work M-F 8am-5pm. (40 hours/week). Rotation Saturdays.
