What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Care Specialist position at Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program?
The Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program is seeking passionate team members! We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and extremely organized with a significant attention to detail! This support staff position will be instrumental in the healing journey of sexual assault survivors.
Qualifications: This position requires a High School diploma or its equivalent, with preference of a Bachelor degree or higher in related field; although experience may be substituted for education at the discretion and approval of the Executive Director. One-year experience providing case management services for victims of crime. Must possess the ability to handle confidential information appropriately; have knowledge of community resources; have the ability to effectively interact with families from diverse cultures; possess good verbal and written communication skills; have the ability to work flexible hours as required.
Essential Functions: This role serves to support and assist individuals who are victims of crime and receiving therapy services at the agency.
Primary Functions:
· Provide crisis intervention and individual advocacy for victims. 10%
· Maintain and schedule initial assessment, intake session, and ongoing weekly sessions with assigned clinician. 75%
· Document case management services in case tracking system. 14%
· Successfully complete required training and knowledge of skills to enhance abilities of position to include but not limited to Victim’s Designation Services Practitioner. 1%
Employees must complete all assigned trainings and attend all mandatory agency and staff meetings. All documentation is to be maintained as outlined in the Florida Department of Health’s Sexual Abuse Treatment Program Handbook.
